Keep the blog going, keep submitting and keep progressing the novel. About the only thing I regret is wasting time and not doing more in my twenties. Every little bit of writing improves your style and ability. If people send your stuff back simply choose someone else to send it to and send it out again. I pretty much just submitted my 5 best poems 7 or 8 places, most of them long-shots like Atlantic Monthly and places like that, and when they all said no I just said fuck it I'm blogging. Now I've been doing my comedy blog and no other writing for the last year, all with the ultimate goal of exposing people to my poetry at some point. And after that the ultimate goal is my novel, if I ever finish it. Once I have so many followers and feel ready I will start a poetry blog. I'm done submitting to publishing houses, at least for now. But best of luck to you sir.
+followedElliot MacLeod-Michaelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03101422996950773526noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35009574.post-36888605703509876702011-08-06T08:08:02.189+02:002011-08-06T08:08:02.189+02:00About Last Weekend: I think I shall start putting ...About Last Weekend: I think I shall start putting "vainglorious" into my submission letters to editors!

TimeWarden: I take it you're not talking about Games Without Frontiers...?!

Libby: thank you.Stevehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02133900289384226725noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35009574.post-55059441993539841002011-08-06T08:04:04.164+02:002011-08-06T08:04:04.164+02:00Well balanced and sensible response from you Steve...Well balanced and sensible response from you Steve.....you may never get another rejection note, you may get one or a hundred, but at some point...it will happen...don't stop believing.libbyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05552884005601003691noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35009574.post-55633212455914289582011-08-06T06:51:53.551+02:002011-08-06T06:51:53.551+02:00Take a little encouragement from the title of a ce...Take a little encouragement from the title of a certain duet by Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush... which would also be my own advice!TimeWardenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06853837867256272087noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35009574.post-4661553400302453272011-08-06T02:11:00.194+02:002011-08-06T02:11:00.194+02:00God, I'm totally impressed about your two nove...God, I'm totally impressed about your two novels.
