Exam Over!

And boy am I glad.

In the end it wasn’t too bad though having it at 2.00 yesterday afternoon effectively meant the entire day was wiped out: a whole morning of pre-exam stress and then the actual 3 hour exam in the afternoon. After which I was good for nothing at all but food and Doctor Who.

Thankfully I’d been lucky with what I’d selected to revise – there were questions available that covered all the topics I felt most comfortable with so I at least managed to write something fairly sensible for the three hours.

Well. At least I think it was fairly sensible.

I’m now undertaking the traditional post exam post mortem… analysing what I wrote and coming to the conclusion that, actually, the majority of it was an absolute pile of twaddle.

Still, there’s nowt I can do about it now. It’s just a matter of waiting for the results…

Watch this space.

I'm sure you did better than you think. One always starts to agonise after exams, thinking "Oh God, I should have said that...etc etc." A bit like interviews. Going on the basis of your very erudite writings on this blog I'm sure you did just fine!

And talking of fine, I thought Dr Who last night was absolutely fantastic and for me it was the best episode in ages - so well written, great pacing, characterisation and period, with a very "adult" feel overall. Hope you enjoyed it too, it must have been a tonic after your exam!

Thank you, guys. Fingers crossed for the results!

As for Doctor Who; yes I did enjoy it. Very much. A fantastic story, strong relationship development and very emotive. I found myself fully engaged with the plot straight-away which is a sure sign of a winner. It was one of those stories that live with you for a time afterwards. Great stuff... and as you say, the perfect antidote to Jonathan Swift!

I am sure your exam results will be brilliant.
We were so engrossed in Dr Who that when it came to the end we were shocked that the time had passed so quickly. The village dance was set in the Working Men's institute at St Fagans, the girls aunt had her wedding reception there and the shops( the baby carriage scene)is where the girls had their costume photograph taken a few weeks ago.
Beauty loves to visit St Fagans, she loves the DR Who website too.

Thanks for the tip-off, Ally, Karen and I were wondering where they'd filmed it!
